CAM SURGE

@xm20k there's no mention of a recent cam swap, just a drivability issue after a carb swap.

I was going with the fact he doesn't know what cam is in it, and the number of times I've seen it be an issue, but when questions go unanswered.. Is it a new vehicle and ran so rich it was covering other symptoms is it doing this while driving etc. etc. most likely is just a tuning issue but if not, he has something else to look at.
