I have no interior carpeting. PO herculined the interior so its a tin can....for now. I have the quietest mufflers I can get and its still pretty loud. Good excuse for my loud stereo....LOL!! The wife doesnt ride a whole lot in my rig, so it doesnt bother me.

What kind of noise? None of mine have much wind noise, the C10 is probably the worst in that department. The 4x4 Burb, crew cab, and Blazer all have significant tire and exhaust noise. The 2wd Burb is whisper quiet pretty much all of the time.

If your truck only has the stock sound shied and carpet its gonna be loud, if you want it quiet you need to add some aftermarket sound deadner. Ive heard that lizard skin works really good.

Mine has the rubber floor, and it's only kinda loud now because I haven't reinstalled the PS window felt yet. It was God awful loud when both felts were out. I pretty sure that the last window felt and new vent window locks will cut what noise I have by 75%

I believe most of my noise comes from the exhaust but when I'm driving around I am usually rolling with AT LEAST the wing windows and rear window open and most of the time it's all 5 windows open so I wouldn't notice cab noise

Mine is OK on wind noise..depending on how windy the day is... I know I need new rubber all the way around, but I hear that the C-!0's are notorious for not having the quietest interiors by design anyway

I've found that if I crack my vent window at Highway speeds, it quiets down the whistling from the other parts...

lol my truck is typical little noise from wind on the highway but not bad.. if I don't open the wing widow for about a week its basically real quiet but boy is roxy creaky, while on the trail.. lol.. I've had some other older trucks that did not make as much noise on the trail..

I've heard good things about dynamat but it's kind of painful for the pocked book.

Same here. I want to replace all my window rubbers, and door weatherstrips. I know that's where 90% of the noise is coming from.

WHAT??????

My 82 C10 6.2 sounds like the motor is in the cab with me.....

its got the foil on the floor and firewall,, double tar pads every place and the engine compartment deadening,, rubbers between the fenders and cab and ya still have to have the radio cranked to here it,, forget about having a conversation.......

my 78 K10 short is whisper quiet even with the cooper stt's / headers and magnaflo exhaust.......

Yep, that will be #1 Culprit most of the time. Why I want to replace all my window trim and door gaskets. The difference is daylight and dark after you do this. Then you can hear stupid leaks like in your firewall where you can replace or use grommets to get rid of those. I like a Quiet vehicle so I can hear the stereo and jam without all the background noise.
