My cab has always leaned to the left a little bit, I was thinking it was just a few bad body mounts, but its been getting worse lately as the truck has been driven more. I have confirmed that the body mounts are not the cause, and the frame is not twisted up or anything. The truck does have a fair amount of rust in the floor and I'm thinking maybe something just gave in. Another thing to add is that I think the cab is a 78' 2wd according to the vin, but I'm not really sure about the frame and bed. Also the truck has a 3" body lift all the way around. Any ideas? And sorry if this is in the wrong place or a dumb question.

How did you confirm the body mounts?

Pretty much just looked at all of em and they arent' beat up or cracked or collapsed or whatever...

Try measuring how tall they are and comparing left to right. Is the cab crooked compared to the box?

Will try that. Yeah it is the cab because I can put a level on either and the box is level, the cab isn't.

The truck does have a fair amount of rust in the floor and I'm thinking maybe something just gave in.

Measure from the tops of the cab mount brackets to the floor on both sides and compare distances.

If they are equal, it would be a safe assumption that either the cab floor support channel (the longitudinal member that rests on the top of the mount) is buckled or the inner most section of the floor support (the part that directly supports the floor pan) is crushed.

Looks like you have a cab support issue.

Score one for Mr Obvoius! Anyway, what you want to do about it? Doesn't appear to be much to attach repair parts to..... I have successfully supported a cab temporarily by installing angle iron from the side of the frame up to just below where the fire wall meets the floor on both sides. Ran like that for about two years untill I found a better cab on the cheap.
You aren't far from me and within the next two years I will have two cabs available. Both are in better shape than yours and the one on Ol' butterscotch is all patched up already. And the one from Clifford is savable. Will make you a deal.......

Yeah we'll have to talk about that (another cab) I'll be driving in a little under a year and my truck fund is pretty low but I'll just have to see what I can do when the time comes.
