No, I'm talking about on top of the tank where the original neck is. You can see it sticking up.

that's what I thought looked like a filler neck sticking up.

I have no clue since I never got up to check it out. Most of the time I seen it the bed was down, then at the local show he had it up. I wonder what the tank is from, looks like a car tank, and the sending unit looks weird too. I was thinking ford tempo tank or excort at first but they don't fill in the front, maybe the back, if it were in a car and used the front neck.

Yes, I was thinking it looked like a car tank too as a blazer tank isn't quite the long and is taller than that. Definitely would be interesting to know the details since it seems to sit in between the frame rails nicely with probably just a few mods to secure it

That thing is sweet. I wouldn't want a filler neck opening that low though.

Why not? That's how a lot of cars in the 80s and early 90s were

Looks to me like the fuel opening is below the top of the tank, don't you see that?

I guess maybe because the bed is tilted....

I think your eyes are playing tricks on you. If you look real close the hose goes into the top of the tank back there and it looks to me like the tank itself slopes just slightly downward from rear of truck to front.

not enough room for driveshaft clearance the tank is thick.

it is a nice spot though, maybe a custom fab or a small fuel cell.
