Does it look factory? Like Mark says, can we see a photo?
I am wondering if it could be a diagnostic tool that was used by dealer shops to calibrate/check a suspect speedometer. Maybe the M stands for "master".
On the other hand, if it reads in KM/H maybe the truck originally came from Canada - and the "M" stands for metric.

well the speedo would read KM/H if it was metric and ive never seen a red M on the face of any speedo up here. Just wondering if someone besides the factory put it there ?

Hey Unholy1, if We did`nt scare You off, please post us a pic. of the Big Red M, it seems that no one in here has seen a dash setup like that and maybe with a pic. it can get figured out.
