Best spot for tach?

I bought this one from GMSports.com. It was built by a guy in a one-man shop in Oregon (or Washington?). The first one didn't fit, and the second one sometimes hangs up and won't drop below 1,000 RPM. Obviously it replaces the fuel gauge, and you will have to grind away some plastic to make it fit.

I have one of those el-cheapo AZ tachs I bought a while back. It's currently hanging below the stereo. I'm thinking I could be getting a concsole for my bday which sits on the hump in front of the bench. This would block the tach. Where is a common place to mount it? Thanks!

Well, since the floor console I got and returned didnt work out, tach will be staying where it is. Huh, I posted this before I got my floor console, interesting how things worked out...

I had mine mounted on the column for a while but like it down low like this now. With the shift light being so bright there's no doubt when it's time to shift.

lol mine won't stay closed so I had to go look. Yes it will close just fine.

For you all looking for other cheap easy mods, don't forget the auto-dim rear view mirror with temp/compass.

no, just a mod I found here and did to mine. Night driving is so much easier....sorry for off topic. Thought I'd throw it out there. Went ahead and changed my signature with a list.

I dont need auto dim... my windows are 5% tint lol

I just mounted mine so its as far left as possible, don't need to loom down or anything to see it, back of it sits over the dash, made a quick aluminum bracket and polished it
