I have one of those el-cheapo AZ tachs I bought a while back. It's currently hanging below the stereo. I'm thinking I could be getting a concsole for my bday which sits on the hump in front of the bench. This would block the tach. Where is a common place to mount it? Thanks!

THought about that, too, but it would block the view of both the speedo and fuel gauge.
Won't block the fuel gauge if you mount it straight up when in drive, still can see the speedo, unless you have a 5" tach.

I mounted mine to where the gear selector used to live.

You have a floor shifter? I'd like one. I can't put my truck in 1st gear because my knee is in the way.

That would work. I'll have to do that tomorrow. Thx!

What are the 3 gauges to the right?
Mechanical redundant oil pressure and coolant temp. And an amp gauge that not hooked up because I don't want the cab of my truck being a giant ashtray.

That's cool. Not sure about the setup, though. I'd have the unit on the floor with a taller handle, JMO. But, if I get the console that's designed for our trucks, then I won't have the capacity to install a floor shifter.

I don't want to have to reach and it will run threw 1st gear pretty quick in 4 low flat to the floor and I'm not into scattering the guts of my big block on the ground. Lol
