Hello I currently am building up my first square! It's a 83 1/2t lwb. I have a 350 powering her which has flat tops, comp 260 cam, performer intake and a 670 street avenger to top her off. It currently has a th350 with 208 tcase behind her and 3:73 gears to finish it off with 33" tires. Now I just finished building the motor and ready to move onto the rest. I was planning on swapping to 4:10 gears when I rebuild the diffs and possibly different posi carriers but not sure on which carrier. Now my biggest wonder is weather I swap the 350/208 for say a 400/205 or stick with 350/208 or maybe even a 350/205 or what would be everyone's recommendations? Cheers!!

Sounds like you already have a pretty good combo for an all-around type rig. I'd leave your trans/t-case combo alone, unless the goal is a lot more power and bigger tires, or a lot of towing.

Just leave the turbo 350 and 208 until it brakes.. Then go to a turbo 400 and a 205. A 205 is honestley my favorite ecspecially with twin sticks☺ but if your not worried about mpg go with 4.11 or 4.10 it will make a difference off road. And i would put a spool in the front and a posi or locker in the back

The th350 is on the way out and the 208 has some major chain slack especially noticeable when in 4 lo and I crack on in and it starts skipping and slapping. So they both will be pulled soon now and rebuilt or thrown on the shelf if I find something else
