I am getting a BBC 454 bored to 496 to swap out with my current 350, I am concerned that my rear end, being a 10 bolt, will fail soon after the swap. I purchased my '74 K10 Suburban from a lady who's husband had recently passed so other than the current motor size(small block 350) tire size(38.5x16-15LT, TSL's) and lift(9") I have no information on the vehicle and am new to this kind of thing. We are currently looking at 600hp coming from the 496. Should I look into swapping rear and front? This Suburban is going to mainly be for bogging. Can someone help me figure out what I would need to purchase? I'm trying to stick with a 6 lug set up so I don't have to buy new rims/tires. Thanks and sorry for being so clueless.

That's a lot of motor and tire, you should consider at least a Dana 60 front and 14 bolt full-floater rear. I'm tempted to say 2.5 ton Rockwells lol.
