Anybody modify the 4x10 speaker mounts in the back?

I ended up getting some off amazon. The factory ones seemed difficult for me to alter, they were a bit thick. Does anyone happen to know if modern 6x9's tend to hit the cab? Or does there seem to be enough room back there? Thank you

I put Kicker 47KSC41004 speakers that fit the stock 4x10 location in the back of my suburban. they do pretty well for a 4x10.....
Did you have to modify these to make them fit?

Did you replace the dash speakers too? How does everthing sound?
The dash speakers were replaced 5 years ago, with some Kenwoods I think. They haven't held up great, already a little static in the driverside dash speaker. If I replace them again, I'll go with kicker 3.5. Overall things sound fine. Windows down highway cruising is where the system really lets me down. All other scenario is fine. I have considered a powered sub addition, but not sure where I'd want to mount it. Maybe either in the bottom of the center console or up on the hump in front of the 4x4 shifter. So far I've been lazy and haven't done anything with the sound
