Any window treatments to clear up "foggy" window edges

Hey there, starting to put some work into a 1974 Chevy C10 and I noticed that the edges of the front window are foggy. I've tried normal cleaning and scrapping with a razor to no avail. Are there any treatments out on the market or special tricks I would be looking at, or is the window as good as it will get?

Unfortunately, the issue did not show up well in the picture.

Right now, the window is fully functional, but I'm going to have a friend tint the windows soon and want things as "set up" as possible before that.

The foggyness is on the outside of the glass? Not following what you are saying. Could be the inner and outer glass separating from the plastic liner in the middle.

Other than trying 000 or 0000 steel wool on the outside and inside glass surfaces, it's a crap shoot.

You talking about this stuff? This is on the bottoms of my vent windows. I haven't attempted to clean it up/make it better but maybe someone has an idea

You’re tinting the windshield?
My guess is , your issue is the laminate beginning to separate. If it don’t come off with a razor blade then it’s between the plies of glass.

If it is on the exposed surface try a 1:10 ratio of vinegar and water.

This is happening to my 81. Only option is to replace the window.

I have seen this before. As others have said - The layers of glass start top separate from the plastic sheet that is between the layers. It gets cloudy, like there is a fog between the layers. New glass is cheap and really makes a big difference. Windshields "wear out" according to some glass installers. They say that the surface gets micro scratches and tiny nicks over time. It becomes less transparent and more prone to glare. If you have ever replaced an old windshield before, you have probably seen that the new one is amazingly better. Way more clear, and way less glare for sure. You don't notice how bad the old one is until you see the new one.

Yep, delamination. Can't fix it, my 70 is doing this.

A fresh brand new windshield is a beautiful thing, windshields do get "wore out". Reuse your factory seal if possible or get a high quality replacement, mine was not useable from damage and the one they put in was junk.

My 79 obviously has cracks but is so sand and dirt blasted the glare is incredibly bad, especially after running a brand new windshield in the burb for a year.

My 78 has the beginnings of that as well and it's only a 24k mile truck that sat in storage out of the weather/sun for most of its life and was only registered every 3-4 years for road trips/vacations. Already have a new rear window and seal for it, and eventually will replace all the glass.
