I would not toss my copper/brass radiator for an aluminum one let alone a plastic and aluminum one.
Have your original radiator repaired/recored. Worth the money. I can recommend a top notch radiator shop I have used for 40 years. Just had my 1987 radiator cleaned and checked and my buddy had his 1984 Ford radiator repaired. Talking to one of the owners he said 90% of his business is mail order and old car hobby. Gets them from all over the country.
For the guy overheating with the new radiator, I would remove the electric fan with shroud and go drive the truck. See if is still overheats one the road. Just don't idle much. Electric fans with shrouds like AlloyWorks sells are very restrictive.
