One thing to think about on this mod, John, is getting the shape of that fender lip correct once you cut the old stuff out. Otherwise it'll look like a hack job. So think this thing through first to the finest details but I like your thought process here

This is what exactly derailed my plans, getting that fender lip to look right, and I ran out of steam and just wanted to get the panels on for state inspection. This is still on the to do list, just don't know when I'll get around to it.
