One thing to think about on this mod, John, is getting the shape of that fender lip correct once you cut the old stuff out. Otherwise it'll look like a hack job. So think this thing through first to the finest details but I like your thought process here :)

Look at it like this 'ol buddy, I am buying replacement panel sections. All that is there now is tin metal and silicone from the PO's repairs. I will be able to cut that old stuff out, modify the inner wheel well, which is rusted away anyway in the 2" extra space I want to raise it, and just install the new upper wheel well filler panel in a higher position and blend in the extra space in on the sides of the opening. :waytogo:
