I’ve got axle seals just starting to leak and some play between bearing and axle shaft and I’ve been there and done that to know it’s going to need axle shafts. I’m having a hard time getting a definite part number and answer to which spline this truck has. I had always thought the the 88 and later trucks had 30 spline but I keep finding random listings for this truck with 30 spline. I want to have the axles in hand before pulling the rear end apart and don’t want the shrink axles. Also, which vender should I get them from. Truck is bone stock with a 6.2 so no worry about breaking an axle shaft from power lol.

The changeover was at some point in the '88 model year. So if it's still stock, it will be 28 spline.
