87 Silverado 5.3 vs sbc 400

Diesel mechanic from Burke Co. GA. 24 yr old. Got a 87 Silverado 71 sbc 400 with camel backs tbi thinking about doing ls swap have a totaled out 2002 silverado with 5.3. Needing serious help causr I'm a newbie to ls.

I would stick with bigger torquier 400 myself. I am not on the swap-an-LS-into-everything bandwagon.
