86 C10 VS 76 C10 frames

I am building a 86 c10 single cab 2wd. My frame is horrible. I picked up a 76 frame from a buddy. I have been told as long as I use the 76 body mounts everything should line up except the body mounts. Does anyone know if this is true or has any ever done this ? Thank you for any help

Also, the front bumper mounts are different. But you can use a pre 81 bumper.
