85 gmc drop spindle question...

Hey everyone im new to the forum and PROUD owner of a 85 short bed 1500 :) so my question is when you use lowering spindle can i use all the factory parts?(springs/shocks/ball joints/tie rod ends) or do i have to upgrade? Im sure this is a noob question but be easy on me im new this lol

Yes you can use all the factory parts just be sure to order the correct spindle for your rotor thickness.(1in or 1.25in thick)

Is there a brand i should stay away from? I dont want to see my wheel passing me on the road...

Western chassis, McGaughys, Belltech, CCP are good stuff but stay away from the rest.

I used McGaughy's 2.5" drop spindles on my 85 GMC when I dropped it a year and a half ago. I drive it every day and they have held up great. I would recommend them to anyone looking.

Thanks for the info guys! When i get the spindles im going to do pads/rotors/tie rod ends/bearings the same time might as well do it when im doing the spindle

I just got mine off EBAY, they were 199.00 free shipping. I believe they are DJM. Look and feel QUALITY
