Hello! I have a '78 C-10 Custom Deluxe long bed and have it running pretty good but I have an issue with my lights that I cannot figure out. My rear right turn signal and brake light do not work even though the bulb used lights up as a running light. I have visually inspected the wiring and cleaned the connection, and it does not appear that I have a fuse issue either. I was hoping maybe someone with a bit more knowledge than myself may be able to point me in the direction as to how to fix this issue. Thank you very much in advance.

Turn signal and brake light, all share continuity through the turn signal switch,so step on the brake and wiggle the turn signal switch and see if you can get a blinks brake light. If so it's in the switch. Check all connections going into the column for the switch make sure they are tight and connected. Visually inspect the harness going to the brake light socket all the way to the cab. Is the bulb good, for sure?. Use our search engine function, this is a common enough problem you will find diagnosis procedure for checking the switch more definitive than a wiggle test.

Buy a test light or multimeter. But first try a new bulb or swap bulbs L to R. The Bulbs have 2 filaments.
