yea that's why almost everyone goes with a ford front axle to convert the ifs like my 88 to solid axle up front because the 241c t-case is a DS drop also, but I hear and see some of the late burbs have a ps drop 241.

I just sold a 241C Passenger side drop out of an 89 Burb for $100. Perfect working condition. I paid $100 for the 700r4 and the 241c married together just for the 700r4 core even though it worked fine too. That is how I acquired my trans core for my 85 K1500. Sold the Tcase and got my money back so FREE good 700r4 core !!!

The main leaf pack is just a normal set for a 3/4 ton truck, but there are 3 flat overloads on both sides, to try to make up 2.5".

It actually rides better than before. Since they are 56" springs they are longer than my stockers, and the 3 flat springs on the bottom dont really affect the ride. Last night I was looking into 2" add-a-leafs, only because everyone who sees it says pretty much the same as you guys lol.

Problem I have seen on only some old springs is that adding extra leafs to the spring will stiffen it and lift it, but the top leaf remains the same and actually gets extra stress on it because of the additional leafs. The main leaf will even develop a slight bend where it sticks out from the rest of the leaf pack on the ends where it goes to the eye bushings. But that was only on 1/2 ton leafs springs I saw.

I am sure the heavier springs are made to handle extra leafs and tension on the ends of the main leaf, albeit extra thickness in the main leaf. Just an observation I wanted to share...
