73-80 vs 81-87 Parking Brake

Hey everybody, I am wondering about the differences between the parking brake fittings at the drum on a 73-80 12 bolt and if they are compatible with a parking brake setup on a 81-87 cab/chassis. I swapped a 12 bolt from a 77' c10 into my 86' c10 and i want to know if my factory parking brake system will accommodate the earlier rear end. I don't have the cables otherwise I would just rig it up and know for myself, any input is appreciated thanks.

the hardware kits seem to interchange between those years 76-87 . so the backing plates are probably the same. take a good look at the backing plates if they match you should be good to go.

I put a 72 12 bolt in my 78 using the 78 brakes from the backing plates out and swapped to the 81+ cable setup at the same time. So the cables should go right in an connect just fine to the earlier rear axle.
