As stated how are y'all hooking your tv cables to the ls motors. I have a dbc 5.3. I am not looking at buying the bowtie kit for it. I know there are people out there that have done it. Please help me with some examples.

hmmm, I dunno. There is not throttle pedal type cable for the 700r4. I never gave much thought to this, but yeah... interesting to find out what is done.

It can be off the throttle cam I just don't see the point in spending almost $200 for a couple pieces of metal.

You should be able to rig something up as long as you get the geometry right. If you google 700R4 TV cable geometry, you should get a bunch of hits, and then you can go from there. You can also always look at the expensive kits to get an idea of what they are doing.

Here are the dimensions for the TV cable rotor. Alternatively, you could always find one from a 700R4 equipped vehicle and adapt the TV cable portion to your existing throttle rotor.
