Sounds like a previous owner installed a gauge cluster from a 4wd truck.

That’s the way it came from the factory. My grandfather bought this truck brand new in 86. When it was given to me five years ago and 69,000 original miles.

Another example of many parts used in many applications. It doesn't surprise me that dash bezels fell into that reality.
Trick now is to find where the ground is being made and eliminate that. Or pull the bulb and save for later.
