Drop the transfercase more. The angle of the transfercase and the pinion angle have to be close to the same. The transfercase angle and the pinion angle need to be about the same.

The angles have to be close to the same, but the pinion angle MUST be negative, not positive. Where you're at now, the pinion angle is postive and dropping the crossmember a 1/4" more is not going to fix it to where it needs to be. You want the pinion at least 2* down, but even more would be optimal since it has big tires and is an offroad rig.

Do some reading...

If you don't want to waste time and brainpower trying to figure out the pinion angle stuff, then just get some 4 degree shims and run it. That should put you in the ballpark and be "good enough."

And you'll need new centering pins.

So what your saying is the flip caused my diff to point up more and I need to angle it back down to get the correct angle or close to? Why do I need new pins? Just for length? I replaced them a year ago

Yes the pin needs to be longer to go through the shim and still go into the hole in the spring perch. Since you replaced yours it may be the longer pin version.

Ok sounds good how thick are the shims for 4 degrees? I'll look at how long the center pin is also just to confirm I'm shimming the axle to point more toward the ground? Thanks for the help by the way

They're not very thick at all, probably around 1/4" at the big end. And yes, you want the pinion pointing closer to the ground(big end of shim facing forward).

Ok perfect I'll gonna get them tomorrow, so another question is it a really bad idea to lift the front 1.5" with shackles?? Will it mess up the pinion angle on the front? Their 3/16 thick and grea sable bushings but wondering if I'm gonna have alot if trouble with them...

First, I hope you mean 5/16" thick. 3/16 is a bit thin for shackles especially when they're longer than stock. Do they have a cross-brace welded on?

Second, the stock shackles are around 4" long, so to gain 1.5" of lift you would need the shackles to be 3" longer. Reason being, you're only dropping one end of the spring. So that means you need 7" shackles for a 1.5" lift up front.

Third, yes they will alter your pinion AND caster angle. How bad? I don't know. Once again, you would have to get under there with an angle finder and start measuring stuff.

Do I think it's a bad idea? Not at all. IMO, the stock shackles are too short anyway. Here's the 7.25" shackles I have on my truck. http://diy4x.com/cart/index.php?route=product/product&path=24&product_id=155

They have a 7/16" top hole and 9/16" bottom hole, but since you have 7/16" bolts in both the upper shackle hanger and leaf spring, just drill 7/16" holes above the big bottom hole, at whatever length you want(i suggest drilling it 6"from the top hole, since you're still running stock lengh leafs and stock location shackle hanger). Oh yea, they're 3/8" thick! Twice as thick as the ones you're asking about.

Ya that's what I meant 3/8 lol, so I actually cancelled my order an tomorrow will pik up a set of 2.5' lift springs for the front so hopefully it'll e an easy install and no shimming needed, that what I'm really tryin to avoid
