Dizzy. All we were doing was changing plugs, points, cap, and rotor.. Yanked it all off being we all knew what we were doing. Learned something that Sunday though. Thought it was wierd that the vac ball was on the opposite and pointing in a different direction. Now I know why. That'll never happen to me again.

4 bolt main caps are great for dump trucks, tow trucks, boats, and the like. Anything that loads the engine at its torque peak and slowly revs thru it pulling a load.

The crankshaft harmonics are at their most severe at the torque peak !
