I did a quick search on the net and the forum, but I couldn't find what I was looking for.

Has anyone used Dodge 3rd Gen 8 lug steel wheels on a square? I can pick up two sets of steel wheels with tires for $275 here http://charlotte.craigslist.org/pts/4283358070.html

Thanks,
Jake

Well, the guy is desperate to sell the wheels and tires, so I'm getting the Dodge 17x7.5 wheels with 245/75/17 and a set of 265/70/16 michelins for $250. If the dodge wheels do not fit, or look "right", I'll just slap my stock 16's back on it

Ive seen the chrome ones from the previous body style, it looks pretty good. Only thing I don't like about them is a lack of a safety bead, the tires lose a seal very easy and they can be a pain to air up if they go flat for whatever reason. It looks like those 17's may also lack a safety bead, but it's hard to tell in the pictures.

I did not get the wheels. The furnace decided to crap out right before a cold snap hits, so wheels will have to wait.

I believe the only wheels that did not have a safety bead was the 16.5". I know the aluminum 17's used on Rams have a safety bead.

That's what I thought too, till my brother in law's Dodge got a flat in my driveway one day. His has the chrome 8 lug 16's, the factory ones.
