Painted the SSI with rustoleum high temp caliper paint. Just sprayed some in a cap and used a model paint brush.

Then after it dried just sanded off where I got outside the letters and installed injectors.

I polished the upper half with the BBK with mother's aluminum polish after sanding with 400 grit. The pic doesn't show how much it looks shiny but, it looks good. Gonna let the red paint dry fully after 24 hours and then polish the lower half. Then I'll take it to the shop Thu and get it back Fri hopefully.

Good times. You are making me scratch for an F-body as well. I have a cam sitting in my shed that would drop in one nicely.

Well I just can't catch a break. Took him the intake Thurs and he said I'd have it back Fri. Had already replaced knock sensors and just had to put intake back on. He called Fri to tell me it's throwing a 1 knock sensor code now instead of 2 bad ones. So he's gotta go back in and figure out what happened. God damit I was so ready to drive it this weekend because the weather finely is nice over the weekend. **** me!

Yeah he said he did. Sometimes you can pinch it when putting intake back on. He said you usually don't get a bad sensor but, sometimes you do. Guess I'll wait and see next week.

How goes it w/ this ? :boti:

I think my power steering cooler may be leaking. Took the lines off last night and did a jury rig to hook 'em together and will test for leaks tonight. PITA to get to the spring clips - tore up my hands trying to wiggle the hose loose. You can see the one nipple ( heh heh - he said nipple ) on the right .

Best part - dropped the phone in the bucket of power steering fluid after I took this and was trying to take another.

Man that sucks!!

Funny you asked. I just text my mechanic to see wtf was taking so long. Said I can pick it up today it's finally ready. Been almost a month. He had to replace computer, fix exhaust leak and get it retuned. Finally ready now that the tuner has had it for a week and a half. So I'll get it just in time for the holiday.

Well picked it up yesterday and it runs better than it ever has. Yay!! Stopped at the gas station to fill up and noticed my oil gauge was pegged.

Left front turn signal bulb is Burt out too. So that gets replaced this weekend. Anthony said after he closes the shop he'll come by my house to check the oil gauge connections for me. Said Chevy bad about that so we'll see.

So I washed it yesterday because it was nice and dirty. Driving to work this morning and about 5 miles before I get there it starts pulling to the left. I'm like ******* great wtf? Get to work and **** me I have a left front flat tire. You gotta be kidding me! So went out at morning break and put the doughnut tire on it. Will be taking it to discount tires and putting 2 new front tires on it at lunch.
