Did a 305 to 400 engine swap in 83 k10, can't find where this wire connection was plugged into in the original engine, seems like it comes from tranny area and into engine bay , it is a yellow wire and either a light blue or green wire.

I believe I have all dist wires hooked up ,the 4 wire connection, pink battery wire and the wires from dist base to cap , I will try to follow the wire down and see where it goes when I have time again to work on truck. Trying to locate a engine bay wiring diagram

That looks a hell of a lot like the female side for the washer pump relay terminals. Even if wrong, good eye @Tank6x2.

Tire my harness out about a year ago, remembered seeing a harness similar to it, just had to look at the cab to remember! Anytime

I tried extending wires to different spots to find plug but no luck, my only hope is to find someone with a stock 1983 k10 with a 305 with ac and all emissions intact, and a 700r4 tranny, I'm just worried that the wires have something to do with the tc lockup, , the problem started when my son started to pull original 305 out and unplugged things when I wasn't there, now we put in a non ac or smog free emissions stuff 77 400,

I might have figured out where these wires go, maybe. They come up from the 700r4 tranny and go to the egr bleed selonoid which I don't have on the 400 engine. No egr valve or seloniod. I found a old post from 2003 someone else had the same problem when doing a motor swap. Now I have to figure out how to wire it up , not sure what bleed switch did did it just complete circut, can I jumper the yellow and lt.blue together.
