I have a 1987 2500 scottsdale 3sp with granny gear 4 door its been sitting for about 15 years.
It was my dailty driver for a bout 4 years it was use by former owner to pull travel trailer does have fatory tow with brake actuator.
Truck has 73000 original miles is it worth fixing up

My '84 K2500 Sierra Classic with 350 (now 454)/4 speed/np208 sat dormant for nearly 30 years in a guy's garage.
6 months of work and its back on the road far better than ever, so I say it's worth it to save as many as we can.

Depends on how bad it has gotten over these 15 years,and what all was wrong when parked. Sway backed,basketball size rust holes,no floors,engines locked up, brakes go to the floor,mice have eaten all the wiring,etc etc. That's probably not worth fixing.
