Exactly. Millions of rigs running around with the same bead type.

If it was published that 16.5's are unsafe, it's just ignorance. They probably also say that your truck is unsafe because it doesn't have front and side impact air bags.

I heard they were "unsafe" because dorks would mount them on 16" rims... one good fart and would blow a bead.

Maybe it like saying the original ATV that Honda used to make was dangerous but it was user ignorance all the way.

Didn’t know there were k20 cucvs, but the standard 1-1/4 ton cucvs come with 16” wheels.
You're absolutely right, I mixed up some information in my mind, there was no k20 cucv. The m1008 came with 8 lug 16" wheels and the m1009 with 6 lug 15" wheels. Humvees had 16.5" 2 piece wheels.
