    1987 Silverado Wipers Slow

Still wipers slow I thought I was on to something. It seems that when I removed the wiper arms and linkage, the motor ran faster. I took the cowl off, greased the arms and tested it. It seems ok. I put the hood and all back on as well as the arms and tested it again. For about 3 swipes, it...

    1987 Silverado Wipers Slow

As far as reading the voltage when the wiper motor is running, where do I need to read it? Rookie HERE! Also, I see some of the diagnostics referring to control module, I assume that is the rectangle device under the steering wheel? By the way, I just put this motor in from Advanced auto.. and...

    1987 Silverado Wipers Slow

slow wipers Thank you for the help but.. As far as the post from sub89, the wipers run slow when in "lo" and run the same speed when in "hi". I don't see that on the diagnostics. I do own a shop manual (the fat one) and it wasn't much help either. As far as Chengny's questions: Have the...

Fuel tank and switch Ok, I put gas in the passenger tank, started right up. So, meanwhile I ordered a new switch and am getting the new wiring harness for it. I am hoping this solves the problem and I can switch to the left tank. As for now, I will check the wiper linkage to see if that makes...

    1987 Silverado Fuel/Wiper Problems

Fuel switch I dont know alot about the fuel pumps. Am I to assume their are Two inlets from the pump for each tank or do those get determined at the valve on the frame rail? I guess what I mean is on the mechanical pump there are two inlets and one outlet. Is one inlet for each tank?

    1987 Silverado Fuel/Wiper Problems

Fuel/Wiper Thank you for your reply. On another forum, someone made some suggestions. I took off the selector switch and noticed it isn't even wired. So, I am not a mechanic, but maybe the switch was locked on the driver's side fuel tank, which I did not fill up. I am going to add some gas to...
