    Disk brake conversion

    I'm not sure, stock 86' C30 454 hydroboost size :) I didn't measure it when I swapped hydroboost units. I should have...

    Disk brake conversion

Did you ever figure out what to run for a hydro rear disc setup? Mine has a rock hard and not very powerful pedal. I'm thinking of running a smaller master for more pedal throw and power. I developed a leak and have to bleed it so there's no time like the present to swap master.

    GMT400 HVAC swap

I found a new pull-a-part locally and checked them out this weekend. Almost all of the American cars and trucks there were vacuum operated. The compact car units spilled into the center console. So I ended up with a cable operated under dash unit out of a 1994 Isuzu Trooper. I hope it fits...

    GMT400 HVAC swap

I might have to look into that. I had a GMT box lined up but it looks like that fell thru. I have to go quite a ways to get to a good u-pull-a-part but maybe I'll have to take a day and look over a bunch of different vehicles. The hot rod guys talk about using compact car units but I don't...

SWAP a/c from 1994 Suburban into 1988 Suburban

I'm going to attempt a similar swap so I started another thread instead of hijacking yours. Hopefully we can figure this out.

    GMT400 HVAC swap

Similar to Valyidol's post, I didn't want to hijack his, I'm trying to fit a 96' HVAC system into my 86'. I had to hack my trans tunnel and remove my engine bay side of my 86' Crew Cab HVAC. The GMT400 system is almost all under the dash, electronically controlled, and a lot cheaper then a...

    Electronic speedo?

I have the fat girl back on the road so I'm back to the cute projects.. the speedo. I found a DRAC unit and I have the DIP switches to solder in. I'm now working on my input ratio = 62260 (" per mile) x 3.214285714(gear ratio) x 16 (pulses per rev) / 97.32 (tire circumference) x ? (128000 for...

    Electronic speedo?

It's out of a Burb so it's a square. You have it listed as a 90-91 cluster in your "Squarebody instrument clusters and speedometer options" thread. Can you hack that style of built in DRAC? I guess I need to pull my dash back apart and tear the cover off.

    Electronic speedo?

Awesome! Does the built in one look the same as the stand alone once you pull off the rear cover? It's a diesel dash out of a 90'? square Burb with the all electronic speedo. It has the module on the back of the dash like...

    Electronic speedo?

I'm finally getting back to my lack of speedo issue. I found a DRAC and I bought the dip switch's to hack it. Now I read that the 90-91' dash has a built in DRAC and you can't hack it... I guess the question is can I eliminate it and run the standalone hacked one? I still have to remove...

5.9l Cummins swap into a lucky Square Body

I have 2 VE's and I wish I had a P. They have more power potential. It really depends on what you want to do with it; 300hp tow rig or a 1000hp sled puller. I'll be pushing it but I think 400-500hp out of my VE will be doable.

    Electronic speedo?

I just swapped a 90-91' diesel dash with the electronic speedo. My 6 speed Eaton Fuller has a VSS on the output shaft so I figured I could get a signal from that. I hooked one of the one sensor wires to the gauge signal and the other to ground. Nothing on the gauge. If I tap the ground wire...

    12v Cummins swap gauge wiring

I asked this in the Interior forum ( http://www.gmsquarebody.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7771 ) without a conclusive answer. I have completed the engine swap and now I'm on to trying to make the factory gauges work. Water temp check, oil pressure check , battery voltage.....? On the BBC alt...

    Volt Gauge

Yeah, I know where it goes on a stock alternator but what is pin 26 or the brown wire providing; 12v, 5v, ground, variable voltage for field excitation, ...? The gauge seems to read with the brown wire unhooked but I'm not sure what it's reading. :wtf2:

    Volt Gauge

I'm sure this is a stupid question but I'd rather know then burn up the gauge. How to I wire the Brown wire under hood? I have a 12v Cummins so my alternator doesn't have a post for the gauge. I have 12v on the Brown wire under hood but I thought I needed to hook it to a 12v system supply to...

In doing my Cummins swap I lost track of the horn wire. What color is it on the core support, I can't find it on the wiring schematics?

    My trailer Build!

No but I have the set off my CC, you could mix and match leafs to get the load capacity you want. It's a SRW D70 out of a 91' Dodge. You could use any FF I just have this one in my scrap pile because someone pulled the carrier and threw away the bearing caps so the center section is useless...
