    I’ve read that a pass side dipstick is on a 1 piece block, and a driver side dipstick would indicate a 2 piece rear main seal. This always the case? Casting numbers on my block are darn near impossible to read. Was told it was a 444 replacement block?? I’d like to order parts and have them...

    Yeah it says GM Delco on it As for the wiring, not sure yet. There’s a Clarion stuffed in there right now. I wanna put an uncut bezel back in. Not crazy about the AM only though lol.

    Looking for tips on what else to do to give my truck the best chance of starting after fuel tank replacement.

    If you had an electric fuel pump kicking around, hook it up to pull fresh gas thru the lines before connecting to the carb. Maybe overkill but simple enough if you have one. If you prime it thru the carb before firing it off, consider a little 2 stroke oil in the gas you prime it with. Helps...

    When I first start my 84, volts on gauge and sniper screen show batt voltage until I blip the throttle. Hot or cold, doesn’t matter. Then it goes to 14.1 or so. This anything to be concerned about? Thanks Codfish

    Yeah lack of lube is definitely not the issue. Lots there. Are the cylinders side specific? Possible both are for the drivers side I guess. And do power and non power setups have the same cylinders? Codfish

    What they said On my 84 it’s on the left side of the fuse panel. Just a single spade connector is what I used as the spot on the panel I used doesn’t have a fuse. Used an inline fuse. Codfish
