    350 Casting Numbers

The only things I see that might need more info for would be for the flywheel (might need tooth count, or depending on size of harmonic balancer), manifold (for exhaust if you have headers they might ask if you have square or round port, intake has no difference), and spark plugs (light duty or...

    350 Casting Numbers

The engine was made in 1974 but put into a 1975 vehicle. The amount of interchangeable parts is amazing don't really need an exact model and year, but if you need parts ask for a 1975 full size Chevy car then. If I'm not mistaken Full size is in regards to a cars such as Caprice, Bel Air and...

    350 Casting Numbers

What is getting you confused? What other information are you looking for? What other information are you finding? The info you are putting about the 1974 full sized with a t400 police is what I find all over. Since it was cast and assembled at the end of October it would go for the next model...

    350 Casting Numbers

Based off the info I see and the info I found off Nasty z28 (http://www.nastyz28.com/chevy-engine-code-stampings.php) it is for a model year 1975 the engine was built in October 23 for a full sized pick up. No horse power is listed for this motor.

Not sure if yours has it but on the rear drivers side where the bell housing mates to the engine. It wont give you an exact date it was made but it can tell you a range of years.

    Help finding a camper top.

I remember finding a camper type thing that was similar to a soft top on the K5's but for the C/K models. It was also collapsible so you can have it as a tonneau cover have the sides up or the full camper. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Thanks in advance.

    Pushrod recommendation?

Hello everyone, I'm swapping in a 280h Comp Cam into my 400 SBC. I have 1.5 Crane Silver Roller Rocker arms and will be adding in new springs as well. Not sure if this matters but the motor is bored .030 over. How important would it be to get different sized pushrods? Does it make a world of...

    Is it safe? part deux

So just to make sure I understand correctly if I do get the TQ converter done with my stock cam I should be fine to drive it home, then do the cam swap at home? I understand the TQ converter issue which is I want to get the converter in before I swap the cam in.

Only because I don't have much space or proper tools to drop the transmission and transfer case.

    Is it safe? part deux

@4WDKC I'm sorry if I made this unclear so when I take my truck to the shop to get the flex plate replaced, I want to get the torque converter replaced also in preparation for the cam. I would then drive it home with the high stall converter about 5 miles with only 3 stops or so. Then I would do...

    Is it safe? part deux

Hello, I'm not the same OP from part one but I had a question and didn't want to hi-jack the other thread. So my question is, can I install a higher stall (I think it'll be in the 2500 to 2800k range, I'd have to report back on that info) torque converter on a mostly stock engine, 33 in tires...

    ISO TH400 4x4 Flexplate Cover

I figured the aluminum ones were stronger than the thin tin ones. I don't beat on it to bad but some of these desert trails have some trash or sometimes detours through brush have to be made. Which is why I'd prefer to use that one instead of having the worry about having no cover or a cheap cover.

    ISO TH400 4x4 Flexplate Cover

Yes, that's what I recall mine looking like. I just don't want any issues since I take it out on the dirt trails and such for something to happen to me while I'm out there.

    ISO TH400 4x4 Flexplate Cover

Perfect, when you compare them would you let me know if they are the same? I have been struggling to find the cast one. A lot of the ones I find are the flimsy chrome ones and only come with four holes. If I remember correctly my had 6 holes for the bolts to mount on to the transmission.

    ISO TH400 4x4 Flexplate Cover

I'm sorry, I know this isn't the correct forum but I don't have sufficient privileges to post in the In Search Of section. Maybe a mod may help. Nonetheless, I have been looking for the metal cover that goes on the bell housing to cover the flexplate with metal rods connecting it and the block...

    Help removing radiator support bolt.

So I got the bolt out. However the support still doesn't move? Am I missing any more bolts? I took 9 off each side. 5 where they meet with the inner fenders, 3 where the wheel well meet, and one next to where the turn signals are. I attached images where the bolts were. It was a total of 18 body...

    Front sway bar recommendations

Not sure if you had fixed your issues with this but ORD has a Disconnect kit to switch between on and off for on-road and off-road use. AFAIK you use your stock sway bar and attach it to the axle. But it does require a minimum of 2 IN of lift which you do have...

    Help removing radiator support bolt.

Sorry for the delayed response. I have tried turning it with a ratchet and socket but it seems to be seized up. Hitting it with a punch from the bottom doesn't seem to push it anywhere. Attached it an image of the other side removed.
