    Fuel Pump Recommendations

Is it just my luck that the 2 most recent mechanical fuel pumps I've swapped in have an issue with the fuel line that empties past the pump overnight? I have two clear filter, one before a pressure regulator and one after and both are empty and take a few moments to start and I have to use...

    Hood Project Opinion

As long as you don't spend more to repair any defects then what it cost to get a new hood its a win in my book.

    Engine

If you have pressure at the carb inlet then you'll have issues in the carb. Bad float, clogged jets but for sure it's in you carb.

Easiest way to set valve lash.

Thank you!! That's the one I was looking for but I saw it in a video format. BTW if I have the Timing marks lined up on the gears does that mean I'm on the 6 firing position?

Easiest way to set valve lash.

I recall a method where you can put the motor in one of two positions and you could set half of the push rods with each position for a SBC. I can't seem to find it anymore however. I found a quarter turn method but it got me confused and since I'm doing this with the motor in a tall truck...

    Valve cover replacement question

I just pull one of the breathers off and fill through there and replace when done. I have the a breather, or a cap depending on what you like, on the driver side cover then I have the PCV on the passenger side cover. You should't have issues unless if someone would like to correct me.

    ReWiring the Old Trucks

I need to get some stuff re-done also. My harness from the head light switch is burnt up from running my quarter lights once and I learned I did some very questionable repairs about 14 years ago to the some other wiring.

    LED headlights

I'm planning an update to the headlights also let me know how yours go. I got a set meant for motorcycles that actually have a "cutoff" to how high the lights shine so I don't blind other drivers.

    Replacing leaf springs

On my K20 I had the front springs re-arched and had a leaf added in and it made the front taller then the rear. It is no where near as bad to consider it like a "Tennessee tilt" you can hardly even notice it. Not sure if that's what you are looking for. Hope this picture helps.

    350 using oil

I've had issues with both types actually. It really comes down to making sure you don't over tighten the bolts on the valve covers. The heads on these have a strange ridge that can split the gasket if you aren't careful. Also if possible make sure you have the little "wings" to help put even...

What have you done to your square lately??

This weekend I didn't get much done, I've been working on a cam swap for my K20. It was very hot so only got an hour or two each day working slowly. But, I got the new cam lubed up, I got it installed with timing points facing each other, the fuel pump which was a pain to put back in, swapped...

    Tire size for c20 silverado

I had my front leaf springs re-arched and had a leaf added in. That's probably the reason why I didn't have to trim the fenders.

One is 14.125 vs 14.3 not sure how much difference it would make. Its beyond my knowledge from here.

Then you should be okay with the flex plate only. The only thing I might see iffy is making sure the torque converter lines up but other then that you are golden friend.

    Tire size for c20 silverado

@thecantaloupeman on my K-20 they fit fine. The largest I've had on it were 38s where they rubbed on the fenders in the front.

You're right. The teeth count should be the same however, but he needs a flex plate not a flywheel. He will also need a Torque Converter for the transmission. A trans cooler and the corresponding lines. I must have read over the part where he was going to change the transmission.

Just the tooth count is all you need. AFAIK

Yup either 153 or 168, the balancer changes also depending on which of the two you have.
