    Zero rates

I had a 4" spring and 1" zero rate with 35" and later 37" tires. I never felt i needed crossover steering as it rode well. I did feel that I could have used another inch or so of lift with the 37's when they were articulating. If you decide to go crossover, the factory swaybar interferes and...

Jimmy Tailgate Band What's it worth?

I think Huck is on point with his valuation. I do find that trim, even perfect trim, is hard to sell for these trucks. Lots of beautiful modded trucks being built, but not a lot of people truly restoring squares. I had a perfect 73-80 tailgate band listed for a $100(LMC repro is $200) and never...

    C30, 85 with a narrow dually

Don't some run the narrow axle(C&C) so you can run standard semi rims and not have to get custom inners???

Adding weight and insulation to LMC replacement doors

I spray in Lizard Skin on most panels. It makes them feel more solid and cuts the vibration when sanding. I've used dynamat before and works as well. When I was early 20's, I worked at HD and on the cheap bathtubs that people would buy for rentals, I would suggest a can of undercoat and seemed...

    1964 Chevy ll ls1/t56 swap

I would add the firewall reinforcement from DSE. If you drive aggressively, the firewall on these cars can bend. The factory had a brace that ran from the firewall to the front of the dash under the gauges.

    Another door cylinder lock question

I totally derailed this thread already so I'll keep it going. My grandfather in the 50-60's worked for a gas company in Texas. My dad said he would climb inside the tanks still with gas/ oil to weld and do repairs while smoking. Never had an issue but died in his early 60's from heart disease...

    Another door cylinder lock question

Cigarettes don't burn hot enough to light gas so technically you could smoke as long as you don't strike a match or use a lighter.

Who Sells The Best Wiring For Electric Windows and Locks

Not to derail...but has anyone sourced the rubber door conduits for the rear doors on Burbs/ CC. LMC shows it being the same as front but on my truck it's substantially smaller diameter.

    Sealing Bed Wood

I taked to a boat shop for advice. Unfortunately i dont remember it all. Since we used pine we also had to use something first to keep it from splotching. Then some high dollar stain and sealer but was able to buy all at HD. Took a lot of hours and stains look vastly different on woods and...

    Steering stabilizer... Nope, tie rod

All great responses to a 3 year old thread. Hey, do you think anything exciting will happen in 2020?

    Under bed Fuel Tank

Great that you are able to design, build, pressure test, etc your own tank but if you want to save time there are several manufacturers that sell pre-made under bed tanks for these trucks: CPP, POL, Tanks Inc, Ricks, etc. On our '77 C10, I used a Boyd Welding tank as it was priced competively...

Need part number on dash light holder

I agree on the reason for bad reviews is the touchscreen dash. Odd that people post bad reviews though as every time I go on the site he posts updates and offers to refund money for anyone dissatisfied with delays. He seems to be a perfectionist and wants to sell a quality product and not just...

Makes me uncomfortable as I live in a small community and it says the lady is from my city so now I'm wondering what my wife is doing at night????

Empire Fabrication sells a gas pedal spacer that may allow you to put the seat back an inch, plus it aligns the pedals better in my opinion.

Classicrevolution.com has a pretty neat kit that bypasses the circuit board.

    Looking for 700r4 for 84 c10

I'm near Phoenix. Alton, Missouri is where Ruddymade Interiors is located I believe. Definitely wouldn't fit in the car as it's a big piece of lightweight fiberglass probably 4x6 but I think it would be strong enough to strap on a roof. I'm actually considering buying 2-3 and selling the extras...

    Looking for 700r4 for 84 c10

I know this is very unlikely as I'm not close. I'm in Arizona but if you are planning any kind of road trip out this way, I will be selling the 700r4 out of my truck as I'm swapping to a 400 w/GV OD. I'd give it to you free if you could pick up a crewcab headliner board on the way. Id prepay...

Let’s see some small blocks and turbos!

No pictures that I can find but I built a 447 Small Block, 32V, twin turbo about 20 years ago for my Nova. It was making over 1500hp when the valve train failed as we were turning up the boost. It's still sitting in my storage. GMPP rocket block, Arao/ Dominion 32v Billet heads, I think a...

    PSI 8.8L big block

I appreciate this build and definitely subscribed. While I am, hopefully, a few years away from needing a new engine for my '90 C30, I'm watching to see if this is an option down the road.
