    Boerne Block Party

Just as an F.Y.I. Black Rifle Coffee Company of Boerne Texas is having a block party July 2 from 4-10. Live music, food trucks and an open car show. If you are there around 7pm look for a dude wearing a fedora and taking candid shots of the crowd and the cars with a Nikon Camera. Mike

What have you done to your square lately??

Well, I finally got around to fixing the column shifter in my 81. Fixing the shifter required some "modifications" to the vehicle itself. All I need to do is tack the shifter housing to the supports and I'll officially be able to say that I finally have a vehicle that is Hurst Equipped. Mike

I recently purchased a Hurst Indy universal shifter to replace the completely fried column shifter on the basket case. I have installed all of the brackets and the adaptors that go on the transmission forks. Now all I have to is mount the shifter to the brackets, drill a hole in the floor and...

I'd kill for a set of nasty steel rims for the basket case providing that they were 5x5 and the right offset... the rims that came with the truck are off of some other vehicle (suburban I think) and they are rough! That and there are only 3 of them and they have the wrong lug nuts on...

    IT'S IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In one of those "I can't believe this happened" incident, I was able to remove and reinstall a newer transmission into the basket case by myself and without the use of a transmission jack or a jack of any type. I had all of these "friends" who said that they would help me install the...

one step closer to street legal

Hello all! I FINALLY had the time to finish installing the harmonic balancer on the basket case. I followed the advice of the group and purchased the jig and associated taps and frill bits so as to tap and thread the crankshaft snout on my I6. That was easier than I thought it would be since...

Proper way to measure for seats

Recently I got my "scrounge" on and managed to find a set of seats that came out of some sort of a Chrysler product. Since the seats are in excellent shape (one small hole smaller than the size of my pinkie finger and a missing headrest) and were the best price ever (free) they are now going to...
