1991 suburban sunvisors in 1987 pickup? Will they fit?

So here’s my question. I’ve got a 1987 V10 Silverado. It’s got the vinyl covered sunvisors with the passenger vanity mirror. I know someone who’s parting out a 1991 Suburban with the same color interior, the sunvisors are the same material as the headliner, and they have a lighted vanity mirror on the passenger side. Before I spend $50 on these visors, will I be able to fit these on my truck? Just taking a look myself it looks like they should, looks like it’s the same 3screws a piece on the outer ends, and then on the 1991 suburban there’s clips to hold them on the other end but I’m guessing I could just use self tapping screws to mount those clips in my truck? I haven’t had a chance to measure anything though, the suburban is about an hour from me, and I don’t want to drive out there and pull them only to find out for some reason that they won’t work. If it makes a difference I’m running a gentex compass/temp mirror. So, will they work? I’m not worried about wiring the vanity mirror light right now, I’ll cross that bridge when I get there, but will they mount up?

Suburban through the '91's are square body trucks, so they should fit.
That said, I don't recall our '90 R2500 GMC SLE Burb having any clips on the inside (close to the rearview mirror) .... That sounds like the way my later style interior OBS trucks are set up.
Do you have any pictures of the Burb and the visors?

Plenty of pics of them on there.

The appear to be aftermarket conversion, unless GM changed it up in overtime in the squarebody game.
Can’t say for sure, but if they mount the same then they’d obviously work.

I don’t believe they’re aftermarket. I’ve seen these before in 1990-1991 Suburbans and not conversion suburbans either. It’s just that I haven’t found a set until now that’s in good enough condition to just swap in without having to figure out how to recover them in headliner material. I think you’re right about it though that if they’re coming off a 1991 Suburban now there shouldn’t be any problem with putting them in my truck except drilling the holes for the little clips to hold the other end and then wiring the lighted mirror up. I’m going to grab a couple of the above the door grab handles out of it to eventually swap in my truck as well but I already know that’s going to be some work since they bolt on with recessed nuts welded in. I’m ALSO going to get the aluminum door sill trim it’s got and use the front pieces from the front doors and rear pieces from the rear doors to make a set of aluminum door sill plates for my truck as well. Silverado is the luxury truck so IMHO it ought to have all those goodies just like the late Suburbans and Blazers.

Yes, they interchange ok. Some of the later trucks have dimples already in the sheetmetal and just need to be drilled. You will also need to get the wiring harness which is like 20 gauge with a very small connector. I added them to my 89 K5 (Jimmy)and am adding to my '90 C30 (CC DRW)

While you are at it, grab the glovebox light if your 87 doesn't already have one.

My 91 Blazer (Silverado) had the same visors with a lighted mirror and the extendable panels inside the inboard end. I don’t remember if they had the inboard clips, they’ve been gone a while.

Yep. Although I don't believe any pre-'89 trucks will have the dimples.

My 1990 burb has the inboard clips

A great idea! If it’s got one I’ll grab it too. I’ve already got suburban door pockets with the Velcro flap but if I didn’t already have them I’d be grabbing them. I already planned on getting as much of the wiring with the visor as I can get. Trying to think of anything else to grab while I’m there so any more ideas let me know!
