Is the cable supposed to bend like this? Still on my first week with the truck. Currently fixing all the issues and maybe it’s me but it looks weird. 86 with the 305

Mine does as well. I hate the loop, looks awful imo. I’m going to find an application with a shorter cable.

Thank you guys, there was a few questionable things done to this truck. Just making sure that this wasn’t one of them. Lol

Not cheap but this is the cable I ordered for my truck, may be trimmed to length & they have a few different options for what type of cable ends

Mine "looks" way too long also with a big loop in it also - I figured it was because someone prior to me removed the cruise control components in the engine compartment, so the cable wasn't routed exactly where it would have been originally.

Thanks for the info.

I picked up a cable from a 6.2 diesel That looks like it may be just right but I’m waiting on a carb swap before installing it.

Mine looks like that too on my 84 Sierra with a 350. Aftermarket cable doesn't lay like it should
