Ok, so the next question is how low are you looking for? A normal-ish 4/6 kind look? Or super slammed? That plays a factor in my suggestions lolTotalyH, the latter, I'm not into racing, just an old truck that runs and handles well. Probably a gen 3 or 4 5.3 or 5.7. Disc on 4 corners.
Hey boss, recently put this exact kit on a truck and have been fighting for months with the headers/steering shaft. Could you post a few more pics of the steering shaft setup please?Hey Aitch, I asked a similar queation a while back.
I have just fitted the complete QA1 front crossmember kit complete with their control arms and double adjustable coil overs and includes a rack and pinion conversion as well. And their sway bar kit it’s not cheap but the quality is there. They say to do it with the front clip off and engine out . I did it with everything still on and in the car except for the inner fenders. The kit is good quality instructions are average and their support is mediocre . If you are really handy it shouldn’t be too hard for you. I struggled a bit cause I’m old and dumb. Have only just started dialing in the shocks but so far the steering is good and everything works well. You can feel the difference off the nose of the truck with all that heavy factory suspension and cross member removed . I think it saves about 150 pounds which is significant .
I did have to take off my Doug’s headers and fit Hookers and the steering knuckles they say to use Borgeson and I found out the hard way that they are well worth the extra cost.
so far I’m really happy with how it turned out couple of photos attached.
Good Luck
