Gotcha Snoots, thanks for the confirmation. That settles that. I have the pulse-type wiper switch, because the stem is round and it turns when I turn the knob. So I need Classic Parts, Inc. part # 67-656B "(1978-83) Windshield Wiper Switch". Wish I knew that before I started! Thanks everyone!

Don't throw out your old pulse switch, as they are hard to find. That one can probably be taken apart and doctored up.

Perhaps they'll give you a refund/credit on the switch?

Hi HOTFOOT, yes, that's the kind I have (without the round knob and without the nice clear plastic cover that says "WASHER WIPER"). Thanks for confirming. Yeah bucket, I won't throw out my old pulse switch. Snoots, I'll see if Classic Parts, Inc. will just exchange the one I got (part # 67-656A) for part # 67-656B.

I just have the "off-low-high" speed switch and I wanted to put the pulse wiper switch in my truck when I was rebuilding it until I found out I also needed the wiper motor that has pulse as well. More money, and I'd have to cut the opening bigger for the larger switch with the pulse for it and I couldn't put it back like before if I did. So I just left it alone.

Hi SirRobyn0, thanks for the help. Sorry, I can't see any numbers anywhere on the old switch. There are numbers on the new switch so I illustrated that in the picture below.
I'm glad to see you found your answer. Sorry about not getting back to you. Work has been slammed this week and my one helper I have on the farm had to take some time off last minute. I just haven't been on the forum at all the past few days because of that.
