89 V1500 Compressor question

My electrical connector does not seem to match the port on the compressor. Anyone know what gives?

I'm going to speculate that you have the wrong compressor, or the wrong wiring harness. How much of the history of this truck are you aware of?

The connector on the back is probably either an overpressure or overtemp switch.

The plug would be correct in the first picture for a 89 AC.

Things are getting weird... the AC valves look like r 134 types and not r 12... I am confused...

I wonder if there was some type of retrofit attempt here... I am going to try to make it work..

The compressor has the connector that used a few years later. Switch on the back is a high pressure cutoff switch.

Awesome! I just looked on RockAuto and noticed that the 1992+ have the compressor that my truck has. Same connectors. I think the PO must have replaced the old compressor with this one.
