Intake r&r is no big deal Don't let it intimidate you. When I do one I put a match mark on the manifold and distributor and turn the engine until the rotor is pointing at the firewall. Do not rotate the engine while the distributor is out. When you go back together make sure the rotors pointing straight back and your match marks line up. Pointing at the firewall is just how I always do them, I can walk up to a car I took the distributor out of months ago install a different distributor and get it right 1st try.Because I know if I pulled it the rotor is facing the firewall.I do this any make car if I pull the distributor.

Yep.

One of the inner links.

But if it is one of the inner links and that rivet came out the chain would be flopping around and off the timing gears.

Wtf does garbage in the woods have to do with timing chain parts being dispersed throughout an engine?

@Mike Curtis well, now is as good a time as ever to pull the intake, most of the battle is getting everything off so you can get to it. Since this engine is on a stand and already relived of its accessories you are halfway there. ;) Plus there's the bonus of not leaning over rad supports and banging knees on bumpers.

Then why isn't there a picture of it, madam?
All I see is a cut up rotted cab and a fern. Are there caterpillars in the fern?

*still has nothing to do with junk floating around an engine.
