Forgive the ignorant question, but when you do a 5/7 drop on these C10’s, how is that exactly done?

2.5” spindle up front w/ 3” coils?
5” flip kit & 2” hanger drop in rear?

Thanks for help.

Yes that's the best way. For 7" in the rear you'll need a notch an shock extenders as well.

Ok, excellent. Yup, I got the shock extenders and the c-notch kit as well.

Thank you

Also, with spindle drops, you need bigger rims than the stock 15's, or the rim will contact the lower balljoint.

Yes- I think I’ve read this. Trimming the “rain gutters” off the control arms. I’m not familiar, so I’ll have to look into this.

My hope is that if I do a 5”/7” drop, I’m hoping to run (265/60/15) on (15x8’s) up front and (295/50/15) on (15x10’s) out back with 4” BS on both. Now I’m starting to wonder if I can tuck those in and have proper fitment.

Any advice?

And I should have stated this in the first thread. I’m building a 1974 Chevrolet Stepside in reference to the 5/7 drop, trimming control arms and the rim and tire sizes.

Thanks

Trimming must be done in these area's. Ignore the bumpstop bracket being marked. That's if you're going to air ride.

I ended up going with these control arms. I wonder if they’re moded and don’t require trimming? We’ll see.

Any info on my tire fitment for the 5/7 drop? Can I run that fitment, I wonder? I may have put the cart before the horse and I already have bought this tire/wheel combo. :(

275/60/15- front on 15x8
295/50/15- rear on 15x10

Sorry, didn't mean to post the first one twice. But your front tires are 28.1 tall and the rear are 26.8......is that ok?

A 215/70r15 is 26.7 tall.....would match your rear tires as far as height...but would need a 15x7 rim
