I guess not. The market is pretty well flooded with imports now. I've had good luck with no name imports as well as Skip White.

Any brand name recommendations. Just a plain old HEI distributor for SBC.

Just a basic HEI from ebay, hardened gear, 65k coil, 4 pin and brass terminals.

I've had great luck with exactly this type of distributor in this price range.

Once upon a time, I bought one for a 351w, then like 5 days later found a MSD Streetfire NIB on Craigslist. I went to buy the MSD for "peace of mind". The no name one and the MSD were in the same box. MSD just had a nice sleeve lol.

Only problem I've had with no name in the past has been clearances on the shaft bushings were a bit sloppy.

My 355 has the GM distributor that's specified for their roller cam crate engines, so I know it has the correct melonized gear for my GMPP RamJet 350 roller cam. I'd at least go with a name brand like Proform which I think are made in Tawain, where production materials and standards are light years ahead of China.

And I make no apologies for being a hater of Skip W. parts, having unfortunately dealt with both their parts and a customer service guy who told me, "We've sold over 800 of these, and you are the first to have a problem." Those parts were (or should have been) simple alternator and power steering pump brackets. But fit was +/- 1/4" or more, and chrome plated-bolts were softer than Grade 1. And my favorite is the ALL CAPS hyperbole on their eBAY store site extolling the virtues of their cheap Chinese parts.

Lol, have to agree with you there. I lucked out in the past and got a set of 2.08 230cc iron eagle blemish heads from them and honestly never even found what the blem was.

That sucks, I would have ordered one even though I'm LS now, but you never know whats in future vehicles I get. Wish we knew what manufacturer or model those were. Anyone still got the box for a 350? Hell post what info you have for what engine (those that ordered from Skip).
