I have been working on restoring an old 78 c10 for over a year or two now. Getting in no hurry, you can find my build thread in the under construction section. This weekend I finally went and picked up my grandfathers old truck and plan on getting it roadworthy again though and thought you all might want to see it.

If you look close you can see my 78 in a few shots and the camaro making a good shelf haha.

I need to get the seat re-covered, replace the fuel pump, get a battery, and fix a transmission fluid leak. Then buff the paint and see what it looks like. This one is all original and should be quite a bit simpler to finish than the 78. :D

My garage is quickly getting full.

Cool!!! and being your grandpa's makes it even cooler :) That'd make a really neat daily driver while you fix the '78 :)

Yep and with this one all original that frees me up to make a hot rod out of the 78. This thing only has 73k miles on it and basically no rust. I will get some pics of the bottom side when I get it on the lift and fix the trans leak.

That's a sweet truck! It has a terrible kink on the driver's side though... :p:D

This thing has a 307 v8 and a th400 transmission. I can't imagine why the 400 when it didn't even get a bumper you could tow from or a long box either. Small engine, no tow capability, needs the heavy trans clearly. Lol

That thing is cherry!!! I would freak out if a truck like that came my way.

And it looks to me like you've still got plenty of room in your garage, you just have to start thinking in motorcycle

That has got to be a real thrill. Grandpa's C15 makes it special. I love those GMC's, you're going to have a blast in that one.

If you kick something out to make room, be sure to let us know! :party36:

I finished changing the fuel pump last night and jumped it off so I could see if I had it right. Everything went well. Took it for a spin down the drive and back and all seems well. Now to see if I can find out where there transmission leak is coming from and get a battery. Then we get into the not so necessary things like figuring out why the fuel gauge doesn't work, why the heater fan doesn't work, shining it up, and getting the seat re-covered.

I will snap some pics from underneath when I get it on the lift so you all can see the underside too!

That seat will be $$, hope you can find a reasonable option. Although, that truck is worth what you’ll have to put in it, regardless.
