That's great that it rides good too. I hear of many lifts riding like on bricks. It has a good stance and if it clears the tires, i think if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Replace that steering box it'll probably ride like a Caddy.

I'll just suggest, do your homework on the looking for a box. It might be expensive to get a good one. Don't overpay for a **** rebuild, but I hear there are many **** rebuilds out there that are subpar at best. If you can a good high quality rebuild or maybe even a brand new one, it would likely be worth the extra expense and it last another 30 years, probably longer.

Mine is a 2.5 inch Skyjacker all spring lift. I love it, raised my truck over 4 inches though because my original springs were sagging so badly.

I have a 6in Skyjacker lift on mine installed by the previous owner. The ride is brutal.

I lifted my ‘84 K5 4”, new Zone Off-road leaf springs up front and a 4” shackle flip in the rear with the original springs. I love the lift but now my steering components all need to be changed out with the 35” tires and all.....

Don't mean to be rude but this thread seriously is lacking pics.

I was simply ribbing Scott and Wayne, no harm intended.
And we all appreciate you taking the time to post pics as well.
