Yes, I have that same type cover for my 700R4. When I bought the truck it didn't have a dust cover so I procured one from a salvage yard. But no braces. Thanks for the pics.

Are these strut rods unique to automatic transmissions? I'm wondering how mines going to work with a 4500/205 swap?

that exhaust doesn't rattle like crazy against that brace? they look like they are touching.

I don't have those. I was wondering what the threaded holes were for on the cover... where do they terminate on the other end?

thanks! guess I'll have to rig something up once the exhaust is semi-routed.

Those brackets are for sale now on ebay. Located near Yuba City I think. I got my spare tire mount set up from them. I had to put a small bend in one of my bars near the back of the oil pan because the PO had installed an aftermarket chrome oil pan.

So these are the other end of what SquareRoot posted?

Yes. I've never a a manual truck, so I don't know if they have this set up. I know the (4) 4WD squares with an auto trans did.

I’m pretty positive that the manuals didn’t have these braces, probably 99% positive lol.

That is also the same dust cover I have, and those motor mount plates are the correct ones too. That’s what the other end of the rod attaches to.

Surprisingly no it doesn’t rattle like crazy lol, the pipe is definitely touching the brace. I can only hear it when I kill the engine or close the doors, that being said my exhaust isn’t very quiet, but I can’t hear it outside or inside.. so I don’t know what to tell ya lolol

I surmise that this is rare to be found?

Most if not all of the 4x4 TH350, TH400, & TH700R4 had cast inspection covers with the drilled and tapped bosses for the strut rods.

Those plates go under the clamshells directly against the block.

My NV4500 didn't have bosses on the bottom of the bell. My engine side strut rods are attached to a fabbed inspection plate and 6.2L plates attached to the block under the motor mounts. GM obviously didn't use em on the NV4500, and it may be just fine without them since it's a full circle unlike the slushboxes that are missing the bottom third of the bell, but I didn't have warm fuzzies running without them after the broken bell.

4WD slushboxes have a heavier case that is drilled and tapped for the cast cover. At least my THM400 does.
