Hey y’all! I’ve got an issue with my 83 GMC that maybe someone has run a crossed before. Whenever I plug in a trailer and turn on my turn signals, it pops the fuse. My flashers work but the turn signals blows the fuse every time. Any ideas?

Trailer wiring, if it don’t do it with out and does with, only stands to reason it’s in the pigtail or trailer

Yep, trailer wiring. Check for anything pinched or chafed and rubbing.

That's the strange thing about it, I can hook this trailer up to my brother's 1988 Chevy truck or my brother-in-laws 2005 suburban and it works fine. No blown fuses it their trucks. I also towed a rental trailer with my truck and had the same issue, any more ideas?

Ahh! More to the story.

I'd say that pretty well nails it to the pigtail on your truck.

Another member recently posted some wiring diagrams for several different types of trailer hookups. If they don't chime in, I'll see if I can find it.

Great, thanks! If you can find something about this, that would be great!
