Hey folks, I'm in the market for a spare tire carrier to fit a 85 C30 Dually. The one that holds the tire up under the ass end between the frame. I would prefer the entire package. Anybody got one extra they would be willing to let go of. I hate dealing with junkyards, they just PISS me off every time! I won't be able to respond after Monday as I must (groan) return to work. I work 2 weeks on-2 weeks off as a Pipefitter/Welder in the oilfield in West Texas. I have no computer while there and I am smartphone ignorant. Willing to pay a decent price for a decent set-up! Thanks much in advance !

Great, sounds good. I imagine they were pretty universal. I assume the frame rail spacing would be the same, but not sure. Only thing I can think of that could make a difference would be the rim height. Don't know. Thanks much. Let me know a price + shipping to 76351 and I'll get back with you when I return home from out west in a couple weeks! Thanks again!

Yeah Ive got one or 2 lol. Ill pull it down tomorrow after work.

Edit its from a half ton im assuming they are the same? I can check the one on the 1 ton and see i guess
Can you post a pic when you get them pulled out? I would like to put one in my truck, and it would help if I knew what I am looking for (or if part of it is already there).

The only difference between 1/2 ton and 20/30 series is where one of the brackets are located. 1/2 tons are rivetted to the holes where the screwdriver is pointed (15" rims). Heavier trucks had 16" rims and are like the one pictured. It's easy to move once you remove the rivets. For a 16" wheels you would also have the bolt in the outer hole in the right of the picture. A dually wheel would have the domed side of the wheel facing up.

Thanks Craig. Are there additional crossmembers that are needed also?

Yes. You need the one just behind the differential. Mine had been removed by a PO, so I had to replace it. I believe it's the same for all series of trucks. Thanks Frankenchevy for letting me steal your photo. I'm referring to the black crossmember with the dip in it.

Do you know if the hangers changed from the 73-80 to 81 up models? I saw one at the Junkyard the other day.
